IT / Con questo numero, Nurant si fa ponte tra esperienze diverse. Le illustrazioni che seguono sono state realizzate dagli studenti dell’Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche di Urbino, il più importante in Italia nel campo dell’illustrazione. Nello sviluppare questa collaborazione, assieme alla scuola abbiamo concordato che il tema sarebbe stato il fenomeno migratorio. Nello spostarsi da un luogo all’altro, il migrante porta con sé un immaginario ricchissimo, costruito sulla base della propria esperienza passata, unita alle aspettative per il futuro. È una valigia carica di sentimenti contrastanti, dall’eccitazione alla paura, dal dolore alla serenità. Tutto questo ha una ricaduta sul concetto di identità, che si sviluppa dall’incontro (talvolta traumatico) tra culture diverse, in una mediazione continua tra il rifiuto e l’accettazione. Alla ricerca di una difficile conciliazione, con se stessi e col mondo.
EN/ With this issue, Nurant becomes a bridge between different experiences. The following illustrations were made by the students of the High Institute for Applied Arts in Urbino, the most important italian school about illustration. While developing this collaboration, we decided the theme for the students to work on: the migration phenomenon. Moving from one place to another, the traveller brings along a very rich imagery, built on his past experience, together with expectations for the future. It’s some heavy luggage full of contrasting feelings: excitement, fear, pain, serenity. All these feelings have consequences on the concept of identity, which develops when different cultures meet (sometimes traumatically), in an ongoing mediation between denial and acceptance. Beacause everyone is looking for this difficult reconciliation, whith themselves and the world.
